Tips for Healthy Aquarium Fish
As most fish owners know quality control is critical when maintaining a healthy fish tank therefore it is important to know what food works best for your fish and coral.
Packed dry food is almost always unbalanced and it loses the nutrients and vitamins after being in room temperature for a while.
Some breeders suggest buying dry food and keeping in the refrigerator to maintain the nutrients.
In addition it is recommended to change the diet from time to time to provide a different taste for your pets. Live food is a good choice considering it is sterilized and ready to serve.
In any aquarium shops you will find foods that are freeze dried and the fish love this type of meal. A
freeze-dried food is usually formed of a single animal-ingredient. The most common are blood worms, mosquito larvae, and Tubifex worm. Breeders recommend that freeze-food is combined with flake type food.
Flake foods are a popular choice because they require little preparation and are suitable for a wide range of fish. Yet you must keep in mind that fish who are smaller and weaker than their tank-mates may find it difficult to compete for flake food.
Krill is another option when feeding your fish and it provides rich protein and carotenoids which help bring out colors and maintain your fish at their best.
Also keep in mind that if there some leftover bits and pieces you should not remove them because your fish will eventually eat them.
